Photoshop and drawingtablet

This is my entry for the Elemental Wolf Contest, organized by and . This here is a fire wolf, and I'm calling him Brandt. His design was inspired by Okami, you know... the Playstation2 game. Hence the funky lance weapon. I may have gone a little overboard with the fur. I haven't draw this much fur in years... I'm actually more of a catperson, but I really like how this picture turned out. I even altered my watermark to fit the oriental feel of this picture.

And now for some flavor info:
Brandt is an original character, made up specifically for this contest. He's not a young wolf anymore, which is why he is not as fast or as strong as he used to be. Nevertheless, he is still the alpha of the pack and a capable and experienced leader. Brandt uses his lance, with its additional, floating edges to launch fierce attack at his enemies. His fiery battle style is bold and surprising, often leaving his foes in ashes before they've had time to react.
And no, Brandt does not like humans insisting on petting him.
